AI-Ready Score
AI ready is a second score from 0 to 100 for every page. It is a lens on how well an AI agent, such as Atlassian Rovo, can answer questions from the page. A page can read well to people and still be hard for an agent to use: one long block of text with no headings, a placeholder left in, no links to the pages around it.
AI ready has no band of its own. The band of a page (Healthy, Needs attention, Critical) always comes from its Health score.
How the score is made
Section titled “How the score is made”| Part | Points | How it is earned |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | up to 30 | 5 headings or more: 30. 3 or 4: 22. 1 or 2: 12. |
| Depth | up to 25 | 500 words or more: 25. 200: 20. 100: 15. 50: 8. 10: 3. |
| Freshness | up to 20 | Published in the last 30 days: 20. In the last 90 days: 15. 180 days: 10. A year: 5. |
| Clarity | up to 15 | A real title, no placeholder text and 50 words or more: 15. A real title and no placeholder: 8. A real title: 3. |
| Connectivity | up to 10 | Links that open: 5 or more 10, 2 or more 6, 1 gives 3. |
Headings weigh the most, because they are how an agent cuts a page into the pieces it answers from. For AI ready, insert here and example text also count as placeholder text, beside TODO, TBD, placeholder, coming soon and lorem ipsum.
Page vitals shows the five parts for every page, and the coach shows what each step adds to AI ready (also AI ready +12).
Is a space ready for an agent?
Section titled “Is a space ready for an agent?”The space report and Site give each space a verdict: Ready for an agent or Needs work. The rule is printed with it: a space is ready when its AI ready average is 60 or more and none of its 10 most read pages is below 40. The report lists the most read pages that hold the space back, each with Fix.
This is Pulse’s rule, not Rovo’s. Pulse cannot see what Rovo reads or answers; the verdict describes pages, not answers.
Lifting a page’s AI ready score
Section titled “Lifting a page’s AI ready score”Roughly in order of effect:
- Add headings. Break the page into sections, with a heading for each.
- Write enough. A page of a few lines gives an agent little to answer from.
- Replace placeholder text with the words that belong there.
- Link to related pages, and fix links that do not open.
- Publish when the page is current, so freshness counts.
These are mostly the same steps that lift the Health score. The coach orders them by the points they are worth.
